There are some people you meet in life who genuinely bring you up.

Or down.

Most others fall in between. These are those who don't seem to make much of a difference in your life.

I'm lucky.

I came to realise that there's at least one friend who has turned from a mere colleague to someone who's not only a friend but an encourager in Christ as well.

And I believe that this friend has been planted by God to bring me back to Him.

In moments like these, you stop regretting about the dozen or so other scumbags whom you'd innocently thought were your true friends. And then you knew better.

One such person erases the other dozen or so scumbags you've met in life.

That's the equation of my life that I've come to realise.

It seems unbalanced but I'm happy that there's at least one such person.

Whilst at Changi Airport yesterday, I bought a kaleidoscope.

I think it's just about the most beautiful contraption ever invented by man.

It's so simple, it's just mind-boggling.

Ironic, I know.

And then, I thought.

That the most beautiful things in life are often simple.

A kaleidoscope.

A child's smile.

Laughter.

The wink of an eye.

A hug.

Holding hands.

Looking at stars.

Silence.

Words.

A sense of awe.

Imagination.

Contentment.

The knowledge that someone genuinely cares for you.

Making someone's day.

I can't wait for the movie screening of A Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy to be out.

I'm currently devouring the book.

Just in time for the screening.

Please go read it if you haven't.

By the way, it's my first sci-fi book.
